I wonder if Jesus looked forward to the weekend for the same reasons we do. Surely it was more than just a break from His workload at the carpentry shop. I imagine He looked forward to synagogue/church. I imagine He longed to praise God with the other worshipers. I imagine His ears were eager to listen to the word of God that would be read. I imagine he needed to kneel at the altar and let his heart out to God. I want to want like Jesus. I want my heart to be like Jesus' in looking forward to church, longing to praise God, being eager to listen to His word and needing to lay out my heart before my Creator and Provider. I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD. - Psalm 122:1 (NIV) 1. Pray (Ask God...) 2. Study (Listen to His word...) 3. Share (Share with a friend or those in your group, how you prayed, what you learned and your experience trusting in Christ today).
